Behind the Lens
I can’t stop smiling. No really. It serves me pretty well though. If you’re going to pose in front of me and can’t help but laugh because of my stupid grin, I’ll take it 😉
Whether it’s a picture perfect sunset or the raw emotion of love and family in what at first glance appears a dirty alley, I love making it beautiful and dramatic.
I love experimenting with photographic techniques to get something unique. I have been loving photographing underwater! I even built a pool especially for it in my backyard (heated in the winter!). One of my other current favorites is light painting. Writing words and creating pretty patterns live in the camera.
When I’m not taking pictures, I’m a diy jack of all trades without enough time. I love being creative and working with my eyes and hands to create and capture beauty in all forms. Me, my partner Dorothy and our 3 kids are always up to something, we love travelling (Banff, Monument Valley, Costa Rica, Alaska and Kenya in the last few years), working on our home inside and out and cooking great food from scratch.
When I’m not too busy, you can find me chasing my kids at the rock climbing gym, or chasing my kids at a winery. Healdsburg is my personal favorite region. If you’re into wine, go visit De La Montanya and tell them I sent you.
After the kids go down, you’ll find me busily winning Cards Against Humanity, Scrabble or Chess. I’m not competitive or anything.
Did I mention I garden? It pretty much started so I could grow my own Shiso leaves to eat with sashimi… I LOVE sushi!

Where I Work
I’m based in Northern California and work with clients throughout Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as destination locations including Napa, Carmel, and Lake Tahoe. Many of my sessions are tailored to each location’s unique atmosphere — from urban headshots to scenic weddings and family portraits. If you have a location in mind, I’m always happy to explore what’s possible.
